Ellen Rice has been painting since childhood, receiving her first major award in 6th grade and selling her first oil painting to a fellow student in high school. Following her heart, the work of this self-taught fine artist can now be found in homes, offices, corporate and government collections in 18 countries on four continents.

"I believe when you express yourself genuinely, from your heart, and do the work necessary to develop your abilities, your art, no matter the subject, resonates with the hearts of others. That's how I understand my successes. My work isn't perfect. It's not limited to one subject as some would have you do. I paint what and where I'm led, and despite all of the challenges that professional artists can encounter in life, it's worked for me."
