Towering Sea

Indian River Inlet in southern Delaware has one of the strongest currents in the world. Two jetties allow boats to enter Indian River Bay through a narrow channel that goes under the Indian River Inlet Bridge. The south jetty tower takes a beating even on sunny days. 

The energy is palpable, standing and facing into the wind as it tries and succeeds in blowing you backwards. This little oil was painted from a few cell photos and countless memories of flying sea foam and raging waves at this spot. Enjoy.
