Dont Feed the Gulls

A grandparent came in my gallery one day a few years ago with an old photo of her children from 30 years ago hoping I'd paint it for her. A little faded with the artificial colors of photos from 30 years ago, I made a black and white photo copy of it to work from so I wouldn't be influenced by the colors and put myself in the day, imagining the colors I know so well from having lived along the Mid-Atlantic Coast most of my life.

It's a fun painting of happy memories. I hope you enjoy it. A small open stock edition of giclee prints is available in my gallery.
